Taylor Cole in Two and a half men! : )
The Walk.
Who doesn’t like a beautiful woman (or a sharp dressed man for our female readers) who wields a gun in James Bond fashion? I know I do, and apparently so does Mayer Hawthorne. You’ve heard us talk about Mayer Hawthorne here at The Fridge before, and maybe we’re biased due to the commonality of our Fridge team originating from the Midwest where Hawthorne hails from, but the fact is Andrew Mayer Cohen has the ability to make some seriously sexy tunes. On October 11, Mayer released his third studio album How Do You Do which is where today’s Video de Jour is drawn from. In Hawthorne’s video for the album’s first single “The Walk,” there is a strong Mr. & Mrs. Smith vibe happening. Mayer and the actress in the video, Taylor Cole, have an up close and in your face shoot out after an evening in bed together. In the song, Mayer tells a conniving lady friend how she’s “pissing [him] off” yet he’s nearly unable to resist her long legs and soft lips. A problem many men seem to also experience, putty in the hands of a beautiful woman (’bout time someone set them bitties straight Mr. Hawthorne). Beware this tune is how do you say?….No, no, no too sexy…
I'm sorry that I am so away from the site, guys, but to compensate my hiatus, I come bearing great news: Taylor will be in Two and a Half Men. I am not sure yet how many episodes or how it will be, but as soon as I do, I will let you all know.

"We were delighted to have the chance to talk to Taylor Cole since we are huge fans of “The Event”. We just had to know what’s going to happen with the show: “We’re waiting to see if Syfy channel is gong to make a mini-series but hopefully for the fans we will be able to rap it up but I am not sure what’s going to happen, so we will see.”
"The Event" star Taylor Cole Wants the Show Back, Too'
18/06/2011
If actress Taylor Cole has her way, fans of her recently cancelled series may have some “Event”-ful news to look forward to.
“We're waiting to hear if 'The Event' is going to get picked back up,” the actress tells PopcornBiz. Cole played ex-CIA assassin Vicky Roberts on the NBC sci-fi series, which was canceled despite a particularly rabid fan base (few of whom lived in Neilsen households, however). “They keep breaking our hearts and then giving us hope.”
“We're waiting to see if SyFy is going to pick it up or maybe do a miniseries,” she explains. Rumors surfaced last week that the cable network was mulling over adding some version of the series to its lineup, although SyFy executive Craig Engler subsequently Tweeted that no plans were afoot.
“I don't know when we'll find out,” says Cole. “I'm trying to keep my ears closed until I hear something positive, instead of hearing all the ups and downs.”

"We'll never forget the day we got our Ph.D.'s from Hotness grad school. As the stuffy old dean pontificated about the responsibilities inherent in judging sexiness, we shot spitballs and laughed the laughter of youth. What fools we were. As we've learned from producing 11 years of the Hot 100, ranking the world's hottest women is a grueling job (albeit one with a couple of noticeable perks). Enjoy the fruits of our labor."

Mourning the loss of Lost? The end of 24? The blindingly gorgeous Taylor Cole will get you over it, and fast. This Texas rose is now the breakout babe from The Event, a conspiracy-filled mindbender eating up DVR space all across this great land of ours. In the show she plays Vicky Roberts, who flips from a bikini-clad damsel in distress to a double-agent femme fatale. But don’t be fooled. There’s more to this gorgeous girl than meets the eye.
How did you get your start in acting?
I played volleyball in high school until I tore my ACL senior year. Then I started modeling, did rehab on my knee, auditioned for Summerland, and moved to L.A. I’ve been here six years now.
Do you miss Texas?
I really love Texas. I don’t get back there much, but the people are great. There’s no b.s., no hidden agendas.
Your costars on Summerland were Ryan Kwanten of True Blood, Zac Efron, and Kellan Lutz. That show sure launched lots of careers.
Yeah, a lot of big names came out of Summerland. And Ryan and I dated for three and a half years. He’s the sweetest.
Is it tough seeing your ex get randy on TV?
We were still dating when he got the show. If you can’t draw the line between the character and the person, then you probably shouldn’t date an actor.
Tell us about your Event character, Vicky.
Nice girls aren’t always what they seem. She has a totally different side to her that will be revealed. She could be perceived as bad, but to her, she’s just doing her job and doing what needs to be done. I don’t think anybody bad thinks they’re bad. She’s very complex and has a lot of tricks up her sleeve. It’s fun to play a character with so many different sides.
What “event” in your life would you not want them to make a show out of?
If I did have one, I wouldn’t tell. But we can all learn from our mistakes. I usually do.
There is a lot of action on The Event. Any crazy moments from the set?
The back tire on my Jeep went missing recently, and I was convinced somebody was playing
a joke on me. But I realized we were shooting in a sketchy neighborhood, so it was probably stolen. I wouldn’t put it past anybody to play a practical joke.
Did we see you in the Green Hornet trailer?
It’s a quick part, but it was really fun working with Seth Rogen, and the director let us do whatever we wanted with the scene. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
I’m a big eater, so I appreciate a good meal. Sushi is my favorite.
What do you look for in a guy?
Confidence, but not false confidence, because that’s not attractive. Someone who’s motivated and makes me laugh. If they just happen to be good-looking, I won’t complain.
What turns you off?
Jealousy for no reason is my biggest turnoff. If I’m with a guy in a relationship, I want him to feel like he’s king of the world. I don’t want to play games. I want him to know how special he is.
What part of your body are you most proud of?
My legs take up about 70 percent of my body, and they look great in stilettos.
Are you a big partyer?
I did the nightlife thing for six years. Lately staying in with friends is more what I like to do.
Finally, are you single?
I’m excited to be single now, but I tend to jump from relationship to relationship. I fall in love easily. My goal is to be single for at least a year. We’ll see how that goes.

NBC ORDERS FULL-SEASON PICKUPS FOR NEW SERIES 'THE EVENT.
18/10/2010
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - October 18, 2010 - NBC has given full-season pickups to three of its new Fall 2010-11 series, "The Event," "Law & Order: Los Angeles" and "Outsourced." The announcement was made by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.
"We are pleased with the quality of 'The Event,' 'Law & Order: Los Angeles' and 'Outsourced,' and feel they are an important part of helping to re-build our schedule and our studio pipeline," said Bromstad. "We believe in these new series and the creative auspices behind them."
Through October 11, "The Event" has averaged a 3.0 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 9.1 million viewers overall in "most current" averages from Nielsen Media Research. "The Event" has generated a 30 percent improvement in the time period versus year-ago "most current" results for NBC in 18-49 rating (with a 3.0 rating vs. a 2.3) and a 47 percent increase in total viewers (9.1 million vs. 6.2 million). On a percentage basis, "The Event" was the most time-shifted new series in adults 18-49 during premiere week from among the ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox primetime lineups, with 35 percent of "The Event's" "live plus seven day" rating being accounted for by time-shifting. Additionally, "The Event" was licensed to nearly 200 territories internationally even before its U.S. premiere, and is launching in numerous regions abroad to impressive ratings.
As of October 13, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" has averaged a 2.5 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 8.7 million viewers overall in "live plus same day" averages from Nielsen. "Law & Order: L.A." has delivered a 39 percent improvement in the time period versus year-ago "live plus same day" results for NBC in 18-49 rating (with a 2.5 rating vs. a 1.8) and a 45 percent increase in total viewers (8.7 million vs. 6.0 million).
Through October 14, "Outsourced" has averaged a 3.0 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall in "most current" averages from Nielsen. In the valuable adult 18-34 demographic, "Outsourced" is averaging a 3.3 rating, making it the #1 new series on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox this fall. "Outsourced" is also heavily time-shifted, adding 19 percent to its "live plus same day" 18-49 rating when Nielsen issued "live plus seven day" results for premiere week (to a 4.29 rating from a 3.59), making it the top gainer among first-year half-hour comedies on the ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox primetime lineups.
"The Event" is a production of Universal Media Studios and Steve Stark Productions. Evan Katz ("24") serves as executive producer/show-runner; Steve Stark ("Medium," "Facing Kate") serves as executive producer; Jeffrey Reiner (NBC's "Friday Night Lights," "Trauma") is director/executive producer, and Nick Wauters ("The 4400," "Eureka") is creator/co-executive producer.
"Law & Order: Los Angeles" (Wednesdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) fuses the classic ripped- from-the-headlines storytelling with the distinctive backdrop of L.A. The drama follows Detectives Rex Winters (Skeet Ulrich, "Jericho") and Tomas "TJ" Jaruszalski (Corey Stoll, "Midnight in Paris") who are members of the L.A.P.D.'s elite Robbery Homicide Division. Their boss, Lt. Arleen Gonzales, (Rachel Ticotin), is driven and meticulous. Deputy District Attorney Ricardo Morales (Alfred Molina, "The Da Vinci Code," "Spiderman 2") is a sarcastic realist. Oscar nominee Terrence Howard ("Hustle & Flow") portrays methodical Deputy District Attorney Jonah Dekker and shares the position with Morales in alternate episodes. At Morales' side is the idealistic Deputy District Attorney Evelyn Price (Regina Hall, "Death at a Funeral"). Megan Boone ("Cold Case") plays Deputy District Attorney Lauren Stanton who works at Dekker's side.
The series is a Wolf Films production in association with Universal Media Studios. Wolf is creator and executive producer, Rene Balcer ("Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"), Blake Masters ("Brotherhood," "Rubicon"), Christopher Misiano ("West Wing," "ER") and Peter Jankowski ("Law & Order," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent") are executive producers.
"Outsourced" (Thursdays, 9:30-10 p.m. ET) is NBC's popular new workplace comedy series centered on a catalog-based company, Mid America Novelties, which sees its call center suddenly outsourcedto India. When Manager Todd Dempsy (Ben Rappaport, off-Broadway's "The Gingerbread House") moves there, culture shock ensues when Todd inherits a sales team that includes: Gupta (Parvesh Cheena, "Help Me Help You"), a socially awkward employee; Manmeet (Sacha Dhawan, BBC's "Five Days II"), a young romantic; Asha (Rebecca Hazlewood, BBC's "Doctors"), a smart, striking woman; Rajiv (Rizwan Manji, "Privileged"), the assistant manager; and Madhuri (Anisha Nagarajan, Broadway's "Bombay Dreams"), suffers from shyness. The series also stars Diedrich Bader ("The Drew Carey Show") and Pippa Black ("Neighbours").
From Universal Media Studios, "Outsourced" is executive-produced by show-runner Robert Borden ("The Drew Carey Show" "George Lopez") and director Ken Kwapis ("He's Just Not That Into You," "The Office"), who developed the project through his company, In Cahoots. Victor Nelli, Jr. ("Ugly Betty"), Tom Gorai ("Outsourced" theatrical release) and David Skinner ("Outsourced" theatrical release) also serve as executive producers, and Alex Beattie serves as co-executive producer.
NBC series is a big 'Event' in Taylor Cole's career.
Arlington native Taylor Cole knows what NBC's 'The Event' is, but some stars are in the dark.
By David Martindale
SPECIAL TO DFW.COM
Taylor Cole of NBC's 'The Event.'
The Event
8 p.m. Monday
KXAS/Channel 5
Taylor Cole knows what the Event is going to be, but she's not telling anyone.
Even several of Cole's co-stars on The Event, TV's new sci-fi conspiracy thriller mash-up, are still in the dark. That includes Jason Ritter, the show's leading man.
"It's really funny," says Cole, an Arlington native. "Jason is like: 'Wait. You know already? Why do you know?' So I tease him about it. I'm like (in a taunting sing-song), 'I know more than you know.'"
The Event, which premieres at 8 p.m. Monday on NBC, follows Sean Walker (Ritter), an Everyman who investigates the disappearance of his girlfriend (Sarah Roemer). That puts him on the scent of the biggest cover-up in history, one so monumental that it could change the fate of mankind.
Ritter isn't the only one pumping Cole for information.
"But we have confidentiality agreements," Cole says. "Our scripts are not to be read by anybody, whether it's publicists, managers, best friends, assistants, family, you-name-it. The funniest part is how offended people get when you refuse to tell. They'll go: 'But it's me! Come on! I won't tell!'
"But you know how that works: If you start telling people, it never quite stays under wraps."
The mere fact that we're profiling Cole in this story, in fact, is a bit of a spoiler. It suggests that her character, Vicky Roberts, will be a major player in The Event. In the first episode, Vicky seems to be just a random girl who meets Sean and his girlfriend Leila on the day before Leila vanishes without a trace.
Yet Cole is a series regular, so it stands to reason that she's going to be around for a reason.
"Yes, that's true," she says. "There is an air of mystery to Vicky that I love. Let's just say that nice girls aren't always what they seem. In Episode 2, many questions will be answered, and you definitely will see a different side of Vicky that is not expected."
Given that she's sharing, what can she tell us about the Event?
" The Event will redefine the world as we know it," she says. "But have no fear: There is life after The Event. That's as much as I can say."
Cole learned a lot about keeping secrets when she was attached to the cult hit TV series Heroes, which also closely guarded its plotlines. In December 2008, she starred in an Internet series spinoff calledHeroes: The Recruit. Her character, Rachel Mills, a Marine private with the power of teleportation, also appeared in a handful of the TV episodes.
Cole is a 2002 Lamar High School grad who broke into the acting business six years ago as a series regular in the WB's Summerland.
"It was pretty much an accident," she recalls. "I was living in New York as a model, and I came out to California to visit my mom. I never had any acting experience, but while I was out here, I went out on a few auditions and booked my first TV show, Summerland, as a guest star [in the pilot episode].
"I moved back to New York after I finished, and then I got a phone call that Summerland got picked up and they wanted me as a series regular instead of just a guest star. So I said, 'Heck, yeah, I'm moving to California.' And I haven't stopped working since" with guest roles in such TV shows as CSI, Supernatural, NCIS and Entourage and supporting parts in a handful of feature films.
"It's sort of a false view of Hollywood, because it doesn't usually happen like that. I'm one of the very lucky ones. Even booking one thing doesn't guarantee a successful career."
Raised by her father, who still lives in Arlington, Cole was a tomboy and an athlete growing up. She played volleyball in high school and on club teams until she tore her ACL during her senior year.
That's why she enjoys doing scenes that involve "guns and shooting and running around and being physical" on the set of The Event.
"It's unbelievable to get to the stuff they're writing for me," she says. "I can't wait for everybody to see it: friends, family, fans. It's going to a crazy, crazy thrill ride."
Cole recently came back to North Texas for a close friend's wedding, but the return visits are few and far between. "My dad is like, 'No, stay where you are; I'll come visit you,' and most of my friends have moved away," she explains.
"But I still take pride in my Texas roots," Cole adds. "Anytime I tell somebody I'm from Texas, immediately they're drawn to me or they tell me about somebody they know who's from Texas and it's always a good story. It's good to know that all our Texans are holding up our good reputations."
Texas native Taylor Cole was a fashion model before switching gears to acting. The star of Ryan Cabrera's music video “True” and Papa Roach's “Scars” (both 2004), Cole made her promising debut as Erika Spalding in the drama series “Summerland” (The WB, 2004-2005). She recalled, “Just like my character Erika, I can't seem to stop flirting with everybody on the set.”
The hazel eyed beauty has since appeared in the TV shows “Numb3rs,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Supernatural,” “Heroes,” “Melrose Place” and “Secret Girlfriend,” among others, and in the films “All You've Got” (2006), “Loaded” (2008), “An American in China” (2008), “12 Rounds” (2009), “Surrogates” (2009) and “The Violent Kind” (2010)
Taylor Quinn Cole was born on April 29, 1984, in Arlington, Texas. She graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington in 2002 and then attended the University of Arizona. In high school, she joined the volleyball team and traveled with the Junior Olympics volleyball squad. It was also in high school that she got her start in modeling. She later relocated to New York City to further pursue her modeling career. While visiting her mother, Deborah Quinn, and stepfather, actor Shawn Christian, in Los Angeles, she got a role in “Summerland,” which led to her subsequent move to Hollywood.
Taylor has a half brother named Kameron. She is fascinated by martial arts.
Career:
Taylor Cole began her modeling career while in high school and traveled around the world to do photo shoots. Some of the countries she visited included France, Italy, Australia and Germany. She also appeared in various commercials and advertisements, including ones for Old Spice, Dooney & Bourke handbags and Crest toothpaste. In an attempt to further her modeling career, Cole moved to New York City but she soon landed a regular role in The WB's drama series “Summerland” (2004-2005), which was co-created by and starred Lori Loughlin. In the series, Cole played Erika Spalding, a girlfriend of Jay Robertsons (played by Ryan Kwanten) and Bradin Westerly’s (played by Jesse McCartney) surfing instructor. Cole's stepfather, Shawn Christian, also acted with her in the series as Johnny Durant. Cole moved from New York City to Los Angeles for shooting purposes.
“All about chasing boys and making trouble. Oh, and she also happens to be a surf instructor, which is pretty ironic since I don't know how to surf yet.” Taylor Cole (on her character Erika)
After the cancellation of “Summerland,” Cole memorably played Brandi in the episode “Double Down” of the CBS hit series “Numb3rs,” Bianca Desmond in the “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” episode “Daddy's Little Girl” and Sarah Blake in an episode of “Supernatural” called “Provenance” (all 2006). The same year, she also guest starred in “CSI: Miami” and “Family Guy” and appeared in “That Guy,” a 12 minute length comedy directed by Dash Mihok and written by Lee Michael Kozakoff. She also had the important supporting role of Kaitlan in the MTV sport themed “All You've Got.” The film starred Adrienne Bailon of the pop group The Cheetah Girls as Gabby, singer and songwriter Ciara in her film debut as Becca Watley, and fashion model turned actress Sarah Mason as Lauren McDonald.
Following a part in “Movin G” (2007), a comedy film directed by J. Fabian, Cole was cast as Alex in the Alan Pao directed film “Loaded” (2008), which starred Jesse Metcalfe, Corey Large, Chace Crawford and Johnny Messner. She then appeared as Jennifer in Ron Berrett's drama “An American in China” (2008, released theatrical in China in 2010), starring James Snyder and Sun Fei Fei, and Desiree Cartier in the direct to video horror film “April Fool's Day” (2008), opposite Josh Henderson and Scout Taylor-Compton. Meanwhile, on the small screen, she starred as Jessie Chase in the TV film “Finish Line” with Scott Baio, and guest starred in “Do Not Disturb.”
Cole portrayed the recurring role of Rachel Mills in four episodes of the hit TV series “Heroes” (2008-2009). She then appeared as Nikki Atkins in an episode of “Cold Case” called “Lotto Fever” and Trudy Chandler in the “Melrose Place” episode “Nightingale” (both 2009). From October to November 2009, she played the recurring role of Martina on the Comedy Central show “Secret Girlfriend,” starring Sara E. R. Fletcher, Alexis Krause, Michael Blaiklock and Derek Miller. The show received mixed reviews from critics. 2009 also saw her play Erica Kessen in “12 Rounds,” an action film produced by WWE films, and appear as a lawyer in director Jonathan Mostow's science fiction film “Surrogates,” which starred Bruce Willis and Radha Mitchell.
Recently, in 2010, Cole costarred with Gigi Benson, Samuel Child, Joe Egender and David Fine in the horror flick “The Violent Kid.” The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 25, 2010. She will play June in the upcoming comedy film “Melvin Smarty,” which is being co-directed by Simon Mathew and Victoria Raiser. Helena Mattsson and Mark Matkevich will star in the film as Sylvia and Sebastian, respectively.
Currently this Taylor series The Event (NBC) where she plays the charming and mysterious Vicky.
